Pastor Jesse Hernandez was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He is married to his wife Irene M. Hernandez and they have a son Jonathan Michael. In February 1991 Pastor Jesse gave his heart to the Lord at La Roca Centro Christiano with Pastor Rudy Sanchez. Thru the discipleship of Pastor Rudy Sanchez and the personal mentorship of Pastor Daniel Tijerina, Pastor Jesse learned that the Bible had so much more to offer and decided in the fall of 1992 to enroll at International Bible College and study the Word. He would find himself asking God daily to make his mind like a sponge so that he would absorb all he was taught. While attending IBC he was a Street Witnessing Leader for 2 1/2 years. His Senior year he was Vice-President of the Senior Class and President of the Student Senate. He finished Bible College and went looking for open doors to ministry. But all were shut and so he continued in the secular world till the time for his call came. In January 1999 he married Irene and continued working but asking God to renew the call in his life all the time. Upon hearing the call again in his life in the Spring of 2004 he in agreement with Irene walked away from his job looking to see what God had for them. Living Word Interdenominational Church was birthed by that step of faith.
Because of that Step of faith Pastor Jesse and Irene are seeing the birth of a new work in the Lord and are looking forward to the completion of the large vision God has given them. They both welcome you to partner and join in the work that God has called them to!
