God's Answer is Yes!
2 Corinthians 1:18-22 - But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not "Yes" and "No." 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas and Timothy, was not "Yes" and "No," but in him it has always been "Yes." 20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. 21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. What a gem of a scripture, but not one I have heard all too often have you? As God was giving me this scripture through my wife, I asked God, why have I not seen this before and why have we not heard of it sooner. I simply heard from him that this is a scripture that many read over not recognizing the power within it! Let's dissect this scripture and see what God has for us today. "But as surely as God is faithful" - God is faithful, we need to see the absolute liberating power in this verse! We are not saying you can get anything and everything from God just by asking. He knows what is and what is not good for us and just like a father would not give his child a stone to eat if they were hungry, God will only give you good things. Even when you pray earnestly for something that will harm you. Faithful is a word we all have our own thoughts on what is a proper definition and who fits that definition. But in all reality, if I ask what does faithful mean I could correctly use the name "God" to properly define faithful. God is faithful in all that he does for you and me. In our limited perception of time and the events of this life we live. We sometimes out of ignorance and anger look towards him and demand explanations of what we cannot understand. Yet, he owes no explanation (as he is God) but we defiantly expect one or we will not believe in him. God is faithful, he is the true definition of the word and his existence is based on his faithfulness. It is the heart of man that is evil. "Not Yes and No but in Him it has always been Yes" - God is a God that wants to bless his children. When he created Adam and Eve he knew before hand that they would sin and be cast out of the Garden of Eden. But he created them with a plan of redemption, the redeeming hand of Jesus Christ! It is what I have shared before, it does not matter what you have done in your past, God wants to forgive you and accept you into his kingdom. But let's take it further, it also does not even matter what you do in the future, what do I mean? God will forgive you today of your past sins already knowing what sins you will commit tomorrow! That is unconditional love, love that knows no boundaries or limitations, and it is there for you and I to only accept into our lives. Not yes and no, but in him, in Christ it has always been YES!!!!!! Hallelujah! We have been deceived into thinking that we must just accept the place we are in and that we must stay there till God draws us out. But God will change his plans, change his mind if you call upon him. Look at Noah and the flood he was going to destroy the whole world and give up on man, but found one righteous man that he felt made the human race worth saving. Look at Sodom and Gomorrah he changed his mind there too. God may allow you to go through situations in this life we live but if we learn our lesson and through Christ ask God for his delivering hand to touch our lives the answer will always be Yes! Let that sink in, Yes, Yes Yes! you may ask in the middle of your tribulation, where is God? Where is he? He is in the same place he was when his son was being crucified and whipped and scourged. He is in the same place as we tortured his son and crowned him with a crown of thorns. He is on his throne looking at the world allowing ourselves to exercise our free will and putting his plan of redemption into action. Where is he? He is God, he is wherever he wishes to be. No matter how many promises God has made they are Yes in Christ - that is what my bible says, how about yours? God created the universe, he created everything in it both physical and spiritual, the hairs on your head are numbered and a sparrow does not fall without him knowing about it. He calls each star by it's name yet he still gives his undivided attention to you when you pray to him or just in passing speak to him. What an awesome God we serve, Amen? What does this scripture say, it states that because of Christ, all because of him and nothing of ourselves or anybody else. God's answer to us concerning all his promises to us are Yes! That means yes to Divine Health and Salvation, yes to "According to his Riches and Glory", yes to ALL that God has promised! Why you ask? What makes me worthy of such Blessings? Jesus! The Christ the Messiah! They are all Yes because they are yes in HIM! Grab hold of this truth and see the redeeming hand of the Lord, split the Red Sea for your life! I declare and decree in the Spirit that if you are reading this that you are liberated this very moment in the name of Jesus Christ! Grasp this truth with both hands and take a moment right now to declare and profess this truth in your life right now out loud and with zeal! Take hold of it with both hands and do not let go! God's answer to you today is YES!!!! Because of our Lord and Savior Jesus! No matter how many promises he has made, have you ever counted them? Too many to count in his Word, promise after promise and they are for you because God states "Yes" to them because of Jesus! How do we claim it? verse 20ff - "Amen is spoken by us to the Glory of God" - When you grasp the Spirit of God and take the Kingdom of Heaven by force you can do nothing but rejoice along with God as you cry out...AMEN! it is finished , it is complete, it is as God wills it to be, I put it into your hands and care my Lord. Amen, Amen and Amen. When we learn to declare, decree and profess God's promises in our lives and finish it with a Amen, then and only then will we see his hand move. Because then and only then have we placed the situation or problem into his hands completely! There is power in this! Take hold of this and do not let go! You are to claim the promises of God and confess them in your life but do not forget to finish your proclamations with AMEN! What does Amen mean? It means so let it be done, so be it, it is finished! When you proclaim Amen to God's promises you allow God to bless you in all that you do. What has God chosen to do to us? He has according to verses 21 and 22 - Anointed us, set a seal of ownership upon us and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit - When you become a child of God you have all this done to you anointed with his holy oil to fulfill all that he has called you to fulfill in this life. What is the anointing? It is the empowerment of you by God to fulfill all that he has called you to do. If you called to save the lost the anointing empowers you to do this. If you are to have a healing ministry the anointing empowers you with an anointing to heal in his name. Then he places his mark upon you so as to proclaim, this child belongs to me. Talk about a protector, the author and finisher of our faith protecting us and professing openly for all to see in the spirit and physical worlds that you and I belong to him! If we truly the salt of the earth and a light unto the world then it is because we have allowed the seal of God t4o shine brightly for all to see. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the grave is deposited in you and me to empower us to do the works of him who loves us. Why is all this done for you and me? To guarantee to you and the entire world that what God has promised will happen because of Jesus and his sacrifice for us. Take a minute right now to ponder on this right now and make it become alive in your life, in your daily walk. Why? Because isn't it good to know that God wants to fulfill all his promises in "your" life? The believer has waited on God all this time and what we are finding out is that God has been waiting on us! He wants to bless you and fulfill every last promise with you that he has made, but we need to profess and Amen them for his Glory! For the glory of the kingdom! Pray this prayer of faith with me right now and start to see the power and the love of the God we serve! Father, I am tired and worn out with trying to do everything in my own power and always falling short. I want all the promises that you have written down for me in the bible God. All the promises, even the ones I have not read about yet. Father, daddy right now I ask you to proclaim all your blessings over me and my life right now, because of and in the name of Jesus! My savior my Lord, Daddy I want to shine with your presence and promises in my life for all to see, and I will proclaim your goodness to the nations, to all that would ask? father show me the truth of this scripture and bind the truth of it to my heart. In Jesus name, Amen.
