Our True Identity (Sermon Notes) People have a tendency to believe that because they may have experienced a move of God in the past, that is the way that God will move in the near future. So they are looking for certain signs that it is starting up again. Sorry but if you are looking for the same signs you are going to miss it! The revelatory realm is essentially getting heaven here on earth. And you can not put God in any type of box of limitations when it comes to how he plans on moving on his people. It is time to understand that God is going to pull back the blinders and give us a fresh revelation. You have heard, ”There is nothing new under the sun” Well I am here to tell you there is and there will be more as we discover together the “new” things that God is wanting to reveal to his people! The blinders will be removed from us and we will see the hidden treasures of Isaiah 45: 1-3. (Main) But before we can start this journey together we must understand something very basic to our doctrine and our faith. ? Are you as righteous as Jesus is?!?!?!?! Bold Statement: You see standing before you a man that is just as righteous as Jesus himself! Most say no! But that is why we cannot move into the fullness of him! You and I are just as righteous as he is – because God said so!...... And until you and I understand this fully then we can access the heavens as Jesus did! Until we understand that there is absolutely nothing that you can do to be accepted by God! You cannot earn acceptance! It is in our nature though, as kids we try to be accepted all the time! Now Let me challenge your theology…… You do not have to obey God to be accepted by him! This very mentality is what breeds and feeds the religious spirit so prevalent in our church today! Your acceptance is on Jesus and Jesus alone! You cannot get any revelation if we have this mentality, this spirit of condemnation! Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Starting in faith and ending in works is wrong! Read Galatians sometime! By faith you gain an inheritance when you accept Christ as Lord and Savior and he accepts you into his kingdom. ? If you inherited 50,000,000 would you not change a thing? Would everything be the same as before? NO If 50,000,000 – Things change – Amen! If Jesus – Things change as well! Our behavior is a direct result of our identity. So who do you have your identity with? Wife/husband Job Bank account Car you drive or house you live in Your church? It should be Jesus! You need to understand that God the Father has accepted you as a - King’s Kid! So we need to start acting like it! Give you some revelation that the body of Christ really needs to hear and get a hold of. *H.S is not just about convicting of sin….that is primarily for salvation H.S is about convincing you that you are the righteousness of Christ! Now for your walk in life If he can do that, if you allow him to do this, he will bring you into the fullness of the gospel! Isaiah 61:10 (Orange) We have a hard time with this, its almost impossible to see all our fallacies and understand this. Let me bring it home for you. I get my shirt and put it on my son, it obviously does not fit….but as my son grows, it starts to fit When God puts his robes on you , they do not fit, I mean all your sins and shortcomings. But if you study and if you seek him, you start to grow into them. They start to fit! In both instances, my son and Christians we already have the robes on……we are just growing into it! In the last days the body of Christ will become one with Christ in all things. Just as a bride has her eyes fixed on the groom, we will see and live only for the Lord. Our mutual passion for him will draw us together as one body. Yet many of us live as enemies of the cross, and I am not necessarily speaking of the lost. Phi 3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Phi 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) Phi 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Paul was having a dilemma, a conflict of interest Phi 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Torn between his desire to live and serve God or dying to be with his love. He had so positioned himself in Christ and the Spirit realm that he had a deep longing to be with Jesus in heaven all the time. Paul understood that his citizenship was in heaven, and that he only lived his earthly life for heavenly purposes. His mind was not set on what he could gain in this life but the next. He was kingdom minded; his mind set on the eternal kingdom of God! Phi 1:20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. He was kingdom minded as his only purpose in life was to plant the seed in all he came across. As many as would receive would he approach for the cross – zealously. We need to learn to lay down our own ambitions and desires for that of the king! Amen! There is a higher purpose in life and it is not Muhammed and not money nor power nor fame. It is simply Jesus and the ushering in of his Kingdom here on earth! A life of sacrifice lived for Jesus is a life profoundly lived! When our eyes are fixed on the king we will fear nothing. The love we have for him overcomes anything we might face. This is not a oppressive task it is liberating! We the body of Christ must come to terms with our calling in this life. And that calling is to usher in the kingdom of God so that he may rule and reign in all power and majesty! A good soldier does not fight against his fellow soldier.. the body needs to understand this amen. A good soldier does not fight to be recognized as a better soldier than others. No he fights alongside and with his fellow soldiers to accomplish the task! Ushering in the kingdom. You and I are already Champions in Christ, operating on the level of authority of the one who sent us! Remember we are called ambassadors for Christ and an ambassador has all the power and authority of the one who sent them. I am reminded of: Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. If we live in Christ and for Christ we live in victory and our enemies will flee from us 7 ways. That is his promise to us! Colossians 3: 1-3 (Gold) If you and I who are set apart for Christ live according to the rules of the earthly realm, we are nothing according to its standards and have very little power to influence it. I once heard an Apostle called Tudor Bismark make this statement. Word states wicked wiser than righteous Bothered him, how can this be? If graduate has 4.0 and gets saved are they dumb? No still 4.0 intellect. The world is wiser because they learn how to use their system to the fullest potential, lying stealing, cheating. They are masters at everything worldly and deceptive, it works for them. The righteous are foolish because we try to use the worlds system to our advantage. It doesn’t work!!! We have become a part of the kingdom of the son and God has qualified us to share in the inheritance of that kingdom. Stop eating the crumbs off the floor and sit at the kings table! As a bride takes her husbands name, she becomes a new person, obtains all honor and authority that comes with the name. So do we, when we accept Jesus! We assume our place by his side, ruling and reigning with all authority he has in the universe. Now remember how we shared in the beginning that there are hidden treasure Isaiah 45: 1-3? Let me show you what I believe is one of those that God is bringing to light. Have you ever heard a positive message of the Tower of Babel? Well I feel God has given me something to look at. Genesis 11:1 (Green) What did the Lord say in verse 6? There is nothing that is impossible for them Whatever they imagine is possible for them! What did he do to stop this? Confused the language so they would not understand. Now in the world to day we have translaters and interpreters, so their really is no reason we should be limited in what we do….right? It is more than a physical language it is a spiritual thing. A spiritual language and the word in the spirit is “agreement” Now here is the liberating motivating part of Genesis 11 that God gave me. The body of Christ is no longer under the curse!!!! If they will wake up and come under one flag, my banner they will find they once again speak the same language! Not only physically but more importantly spiritually!! In one accord. And there is nothing that will be impossible for them to do or accomplish!!! Times are changing we need to go from the church mentality to the kingdom mentality! |
